It's a scribbles and splat card

Happy Friday! It is a Tag Friday over at A Vintage Journey so here is my little creation - a tag card, made for my niece.
For the first time in ages I have actually taken some process shots - so be prepared, I have my first long post in quite a while......

I decided to use Tim Holtz's Scribbles and Splats thinlits - I haven't really done much with them since I got them. I started with spritzing some card stock with Victorian Velvet Distress spray and when dry added Distress inks in the same colour plus Milled lavender. I cut out my splats and added Dusty concord around the edges. I also cut a splat in white for the layer underneath.

For my tag I took the same three colours and played around with inking and flicking water until I was happy with the result.
I cut some foam out of the scribbles die to create a stamp and glued it to my acrylic block. I stamped this is glacier white on the tag and also on some coordinating cardstock.

Finally I used the same scribble stamp and stamped my base card around the edge with dusty concord. I also created my words out of Ideology Label letters.

A little seam binding and my tag was complete.

While I had the foam stamp I also made a couple more cards using the same idea.

Thanks for stopping by today.
