On your Travels is the theme this month at Country View challenges and here is my second creation.
I found a couple of tags in my box from play sessions just waiting to be used. The base tag is distress inks with a water flicked over it and a little stamping. I can't quite recall what I did for the smaller tag - looks like I was playing with distress inks and stencils with a few stamped splodges! I added some additional vintage photo ink over it and layered it to the base tag with foam pads.
I took some die cuts (plane and clouds - thanks Chris Warner!) and an artful arrow and decided to use some of the techniques I learned at the recent Country View Crafts workshop on Eroded Metallics. Brenda Brown took us though lots of ways of creating metallic effects using Deco Art products.
Here are some useful links:
Brenda's Deco Art Posts - there are several - well worth a peek - here a couple if you missed them.
Here are some close ups of my rusty embellishments - not quite as Brenda showed us - I didnt have the exact colours and, well, I always like to change things a little bit!
Rusty clouds.....
Rusty plane..
Rusty arrow...
Have a great day.

The rusty bits look like real metal and it is amazing the finish that you achieved. Terrific quote to add the tag.
