Happy Birthday with Kraft

A simple birthday card today for my second DT piece this month at Country View Crafts where the theme is using Kraft card. I used Stampin' Up stamps (Butterfly Basics) and ink (Marina Mist) on this card. The flower was embossed with white embossing powder - I didn't initially intend to cut it out - but although a little fiddly to do, I love how it has created some dimension on the card.

Have a great day.

Male Card Ideas

I have been playing around with cards for men for one of my Stampin' Up card classes and thought I would share a few. Some of these are quite simple and quick. (Just spotted I included one with a flower and rhinestone - mmmm maybe not for a guy!)

Thanks for looking.

Pearls and vellum

Pearls and vellum, not regular things for me but the theme starting today at Try it on Tuesday is 'Pearls for Girls'.
I have used Stampin' Up products on this card including the lovely lace background stamp (on vellum), petite petals, and my favourite colour crumb cake!

Lots more inspiration from the rest of the team over at Try it on Tuesday.

Thanks for stopping by, have a lovely day.

Male cards

Just a quick post today to share some more of my small square cards - I shared three on Tuesday with flowers and swirls but I also used the same layout to create some 'guy' cards. Again all using Stampin' Up supplies.

Have a great Sunday whatever you are doing. This is scheduled as I will be heading round the M25 to see my mum in Suffolk.

Flowers and Flourishes

We are playing Tic Tac Toe over at Try it on Tuesday. I chose to use flowers, flourish and string.

I was having a play with Stampin' Up products making this card and got a little carried away and made some more!

Actually there are another four - I will save these for another day!

In the meantime do head on over to Try it on Tuesday and play along with our Tic Tac Toe challenge this fortnight.

I would like to enter:

A speedy, sparkly birthday card....

I needed to do a quick card for an overseas friend so decided to play along with the Speed Craft girls!
This card took me 14 mins and 39 seconds (cutting it fine!) - although I confess the stickles was not dry in that time. The theme is sparkle and shine - not excessive on mine but some stickles and lovely rhinestones.

The inspiration for this card came from another Stampin Up demo - sorry I saw the card but don't know who made it! I have used different stamps and a different layout but some of the elements and the colour scheme are cased.

I had such fun I made another one:

Try it on Tuesday - Christmas is Coming

The new challenge at Try it on Tuesday is all about Christmas so I thought I would share a simple card today but one I really like! Actually I like it so much I made three:

All made with Stampin up card, stamps and inks. The background for the trees uses the acrylic block technique ( ie ink the block and stamp the card) - love how this always gives a slightly different result.

Do hop over to Try it on Tuesday for lots more Christmas inspiration. I will be back on Friday - twice on Friday in fact!
Thanks for looking today.

Homemade for Try it on Tuesday

Homemade gifts is the challenge starting today at Try it on Tuesday.

So I thought I would have a go at crackers and boxes. I used the Stampin Up envelope punch board for my cracker which makes it very easy! I might be making a few more of these for around the tree!

(The paper is also SU - All is Calm)

This is such a great challenge - do check out the variety of projects from the rest of the Design Team.

Butterfly Card for Country View Crafts

I am back with my second Bugs, Bees and Butterflies project for Country View Craft challenges. This time I decided to make a simple card using Stampin Up stamps and inks.

It may not be everyone's colour choice but I love greys! The card design is based on a number of versions I have seen on Pinterest - I am not sure who created the original, it may have been Michelle Last. My card base is Basic Grey cardstock and I have stamped with smoky slate and black ink. The stamps sets used are Kinda Eclectic (leaves and butterflies) and Gorgeous Grunge (lines and splatters).

I added a little dimension to the card with the lower butterfly and the sentiment slightly raised. Simple, quick and effective and a great card to have for when I need to send one quickly!

The Colours of Autumn

The colours of autumn is the new challenge at Try it on Tuesday starting today. My creation is quite a clean card for me using some Stampin Up stamps and inks.
The sets used are French Foliage (retired), Kinda eclectic (the sunrise) Work of Art (the sentiment) and Gorgeous Grunge (to create the speckled background layer). I have used Hello Honey, Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow inks.

Do hop over and see the gorgeous creations from the DT.

Stampin Up Card Class

Cathryn and I have now held our first two introductory card classes using Stampin Up products. Aimed at beginners but with lots of flexibility to adjust for the more advanced crafter - and there were some fantastic creations.

Thanks to the lovely ladies that came. Here are a selection of the cards we all made.

Plans under-way for our next class making Christmas cards and tags.

Seconds out, round 2.....

.....of the Speed Craft Challenge where we have just ten minutes to see what we can make. Now this may be a bit of a cheat this time round as I had been making a lot of Christmas cards for another project and had lots of scraps and bits left out on my desk!
Ingrid challenged us to use turquoise and I was unsure I had anything and then realised Stampin Up Lost lagoon ink and paper would fit the bill..... so my products are all SU except my Tim Holtz stars stencil.

The card is A7 - I didn't get to mount it in the 10 mins (did that later!) - but managed to emboss, stencil, stamp, ink, punch, cut and stick.

Why not visit the other mad Speed Crafters - what is great about this group is we are all quite different in style!

Ingrid - Ingrid's Crafts Corner - a master of a diverse range of mediums and techniques
Donna - Inky and Quirky - of the wonderfully quirky creations and fabulous arty backgrounds
Keren - Kerenbaker's Blog - CAS at it's very best
Nikki - A2A - Addicted to Art - oooh that's me
Pamellia - My Little Craft Things - feminine, romantic, elegant and shabby chic loveliness

Vintage Journey

A little card today using a mixture of Stampin Up and  Tim Holtz stamps, inks and dies for Sugar Creek Hollow's challenge - On the Road and Simon Says Stamp - J (for journey here!). The basic idea for this  came from a card we made at Stamp Camp with Lesley Lendon on Saturday - although I have changed it quite a bit!

Stampin up Blog Hop

To coincide with the new catalogue at Stampin up we are doing a little blog hop, sharing ideas with items from the new catalogue

My cards focus on the new 'in colours'. These two cards use the fab 'lost lagoon' ink and cardstock.
My final card features two other new colours - 'Blackberry bliss' and 'Hello Honey'. I have used the cardstock here along with some of the designer paper series - Moonlight. (I haven't added my sentiment yet!)
Please follow the arrows to make blog hopping easier - although I have incorporated all the blogs included below.
