Steampunk - ish

I started creating some texture on 4 chipboard coasters with very little idea where it was going and this is where I ended up, the other 3 are still Work in Progress! I wanted to used some bolts, washers and screws (raided the garage) and also added lots of gilding wax to create metallic feel. Couldnt resist adding the little butterfly (alcohol ink on foil tape sheet) to brighten it up a little! Here are some close ups:

I will throw this in at:

Thanks for looking

  13. Metallic texture Nirvana has been achieved . You really covered your coaster with so many great layers and textures, it's hard to tell what ISN'T metal. Washers and screws have never been so glam! And it is a steam-punk creation to its core. Totally rad. (Does anyone use that expression any more, or did I just date myself? I'm sticking with it though - TOTALLY RAD!) Thanks for sharing.

PS Welcome to blogland. You are going to have a wonderful time sharing your talent.
