Hi everyone... a quick post from me today. I spent the weekend with friends crafting so I got some proper craft playtime - hurray. Here is one of my makes from the weekend, a card combining the latticework die from Tim Holtz Mixed Media framelits with the latticework stencil. For the latter I used texture paste followed by distress sprays, scraped gesso and then some distress paint.
My background was a combination of distress sprays, then ink, then some spritzing and a little picket fence distress paint.
I would like to enter the following challenges:

ReplyDeleteNikki, what a fabulous use of the die and the stencil--oh, I want that stencil SO bad! I love how you have layered up your sprays and inks and then paints on the background--it gives so much depth and texture. I love that you used the gesso between your sprays and paints on the stenciled portion. I've done that with inks, but not paints on top and I'm loving the effect! You are going to see this on one of my projects in the very near future, because I have just got to give this a try! By the way, I've had this post open on my computer for a WEEK Each time I start to write a comment, I get interrupted! This is stunning, and pinned! Big hugs!
