Inspired by Seth Apter and Frankie gets bored

Seth Apter style journal page - Addicted to Art
I was lucky to attend one of Seth Apter's UK workshops recently and we did lot's of layering techniques with PaperArtsy Fresco acrylics and used some of his stamps, dies and stencils.

I decided to try a Seth inspired page in my journal - actually a double page. The word stamps and stencilled circles are from his range. I used a load of PaperArtsy Fresco paints including two from the new Seth Apter range - Buff and Terracotta.

As some people know my blog url was created a long time before I actually started blogging - when my cat 'Frankie' really did eat worms - I think she has grown out of it. So I think I might rename it Frankie Gets Bored (while I am crafting) and resorts to stealing my craft room chair so I have to work standing up. Here she is while I was doing this page...

Back tomorrow with another Guest Design project for That's Crafty!

  2. Love Frankie! I craft from my sofa at my coffee table and my westie Snowy tells me when she has had enough of me crafting by climbing up behind me and stretching out! This of course has the effect of me being pushed off the sofa in the end xx

  13. Nikki, I love this journal spread, with the colors and the depth created! You are so lucky to learn at the workshops, and judging from your outcome, you are an A+ student! Love your work space, so neat and fresh with the white surfaces. I'd have that in a mess in no time! I like to see we have a similar method of storing our Distress inks, but I've got to change that--not working for me! Frankie is adorable, and I can see he is in charge at your house, like Roger is at mine. Why is it the craft room chair is the hottest seat in the house? I always end up standing, too! Hugs!
